UKIP MEP and EU Environment Committee member Godfrey Bloom has hit out at scientists who fake data to meet political ends in the climate change debate.
"It is a shame that the scientists who used to be respected and admired by the rest of us have sold their souls to the devil," he said.
"Sadly we have learnt that many will fake their facts to fit the bureaucratic theory of man-induced global warming because it helps secure more funding for research. "Simultaneously the scientists who dare question the alarmist warming theory are treated as pariahs."

Mr Bloom added: "There is no such thing as settled science. Science can never be settled by definition otherwise we would still be living in the Dark Ages! "The inconvenient truth is that it is an opportunity for politicians to put their hands in our pocket; it is a way of taming developing countries' economic growth, a new form of colonialism. "The only thing that this summit will bring, with 20,000 delegates from all around the word flying to Copenhagen, some in private jet, is more Co2, but that's okay isn't it because it is to save the planet."
